Hello, I'm Rafael, a full-time music teacher based in London.
I started playing the guitar at the age of 16. Since then, I’ve performed in numerous bands, worked in a recording studio producing soundtracks for films, and I am a trained music leader.
I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 in classical guitar performance, have a DBS check, and have recently completed a child protection course with the NSPCC.
I am currently studying Music Production for Films at ICMP.
Over the past decade in London, I’ve gained extensive experience as a full-time music teacher, working with students as young as 4 years old.
Alongside my private lessons, I’ve also taught music for organisations such as HitTheNote, Ashford Place, M-Tech, and Musicus, in schools such as Devonshire Place, Queen's Park School, and Norfolk House.

My lessons usually take place at the student's home, but students are also welcome to visit my studio if they prefer. I’m based in Crouch Hill, North London.
I am extremely passionate about teaching and everything that comes with it. To me teaching is about getting to know the students needs and work towards helping them to achieve their objectives while they are having fun during the lessons. I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere wit clear and achievable goals.
In lessons we will cover music theory, rhythm, harmony, technique, ear training, and songs.
The repertoire will be the student’s favourite songs or a syllabus as ABRSM, Trinity or Rockshool if you or your child is preparing for a music exam.
I have completed a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and attended the Music Leader Training course at CM Sounds in 2016/17. This gave me valuable experience in lesson planning, the teaching cycle, law and legislation, workshops, teaching styles, assessing learners, and providing constructive feedback.
I really enjoy working with children and have plenty of patience with all my students - check my reviews on google.
